MyNewWords – How does it work

MyNewWords is a program that helps to train and expand vocabulary during learning of foreign languages. It's used through a web browser. The program as well as data is stored on a web server so you can use it wherever you have the Internet connection.

Each registered user has their own dictionary in the program where they insert new words that they want to learn. The program then ask user the words and thedeeper is word memorized, the less frequently is repeated by program. Details ›››

You must add your words to your dictionary on your own, so far the program cannot insert for example "all words of Xth lesson of ABC textbook". The program is intended rather for advanced students who read books or watch movies and encounter unknown word from time to time. In such a case, they can add the new word to MyNewWords that will help them to memorize the word.

New word is firstly repeted roughly every 24 hours. If you know, the delay is increased twofold and a ranking in increased by one point. If you don't know, the ranking plummets to zero, delay of recurrence comes back to 24 hours and procedure of learning starts from the beginning.

The knowledge of word is ranked for both direction of translation independently.

What does it cost

Registration as well as the use of the program is free of charge. However, operation of the portal costs some money so if you like it, you can contribute to operation spending and next development. Status VIP is gained for 6 months with every two Euros. If you decide to contribute 10 Euro, you acquire two and half year subscription of VIP.

Each user can 3 months from registration use all functions of program so they can try it. If you decite not to contribute, you will lose the VIP status and the chance to use advanced functions after 3 months. Regardless, you will be able to use main functions of program still free of charge.
